Create a student plan
Introduction
What skills, knowledge and competencies do our students need to be successful in college and their careers?
What are the characteristics of learning activities that will help students develop these skills?
Getting Started
As a final step before showcasing your lesson, place the key items students will need to complete the lesson in a student plan.
Part A: Choose a Format
In the next activity, you will showcase your improved lessons and share your reflections on the learning experience. Plan to share four things during the showcase:

Getting Started
As a final step before showcasing your lesson, place the key items students will need to complete the lesson in a student plan.
Part A: Choose a Format
- During the lesson improvement process, you added student-focused directions and a task to the lesson improvement template. Review your task and student directions.
- Think about how you would like to present your task, scenario, essential question, student steps, key assessments, and any resources to students.
- You may want to place it in a Student Plan (Word template).
- Or you may want to choose an online or other emerging technology format, such as a wiki, an Office WebApp, or a video.
- Work with your partner to transfer key elements of your improved lesson into the format you have chosen.
- Check your work.
- Is the Student Plan written or created with a student audience as its clear target?
- Are all key elements of the improved lesson present in the plan?
In the next activity, you will showcase your improved lessons and share your reflections on the learning experience. Plan to share four things during the showcase:
- The main features of each section of your lesson.
- The greatest strengths of your lesson.
- Places where you could use some help making continued improvements.
- The learning you have gained as a coach through this collaborative lesson improvement process.
